Qu'est-ce que vous voulez?

If I had a nickel for every time I wished I could just snap my fingers and have the thing I want appear right in front of me, I'd be a gajillionaire. This morning, it's blintzes and eggs from Johnny D's...yesterday it was Boston Burger Co. nacho fries...(sense a theme here? 95% of the time it's food related)

On to this week's pictures...

My amazing lunch this week - salad (spinach, honey crisp apple, red onion, smoked gouda, caesar dressing) and a wrap

Adorable old couple walking through the Commons (they made me smile and I *had* to take a picture of them)

Want. These. Plates.

I walked home on Tuesday and got to see a gorgeous sunset on the Charles

Favorite new snack - pretzels and chocolate peanut butter!

Delfina made cupcakes and brought them to work for Charlotte's birthday (YUM)

On Thursday, I went with Sarah to the StyleFixx event...I didn't know what to expect, but it certainly wasn't this!

Pretty centerpieces at the tables where we had our cocktails

Uh-oh....wasn't expecting that one!

Considered purchasing this...think it would work for me?

Looks like a clock

Cute gift set! I ended up getting a lemon body scrub from this booth

We had the chance to get our spines evaluated too (a little strange for a fashion expo, but interesting nonetheless)

I think I'm a little skeptical here...

Free chocolate from Finale Desserts! (delicious)

There was a photo booth at the event and Sarah and I definitely took advantage of it...

...a little too much fun?

Goofs

A little too much fun? (Never!)

I fell in love with these pieces by Muvarde...definitely going to be getting a phone case from them in the near future

GORGEOUS

I decided to take a spontaneous trip to....NYC!

On my walk through Central Park...

...to get to this place! I've been craving spatzle since March!

I met Xander in the city and we strolled through the farmer's market in Union Square...of course we had to check out the pepper table to see if they had any ghost chili peppers (they did)...I dared him to eat one (he wouldn't)

Delicious dinner at Olio e Piu - I cannot even begin to describe the amazingness that was the Spaghetti alla Carbonara....it's one of the most divine things I've ever eaten

Next stop - Employees Only for fantastic cocktails

No trip to NYC would be complete without a stop at Ess-a-Bagel

The weather started to turn sour so we stopped at Java Girl for a beverage (get the green tea latte or mango ginger smoothie - both delicious)

Kooky chandelier (fitting for a tea/coffee shop)

Waiting for the bus, we stopped at the Yale Club to have a look around...

...followed by one last cocktail at The Campbell Apartment at Grand Central Station

My delicious margarita

Ordering something with bourbon (ick)

His and hers

Finally made it home before the storm hit (thank goodness) where I got to hang out with Han and debrief on our weekends

BIG BIG shout out to my friend Brian for hosting me this weekend on such short notice - I can't wait for my next trip to the Big Apple!

What Women Want

I'm having my own version of Mel's famous scene of trying on all those girly products - the roommates are out, I have the apartment to myself, so I've got Kelly Clarkson on full blast, cooking up a storm, having a private dance party in my kitchen, and indulging in all things girly. Exhibit A:

Red wine - check
Glasses/messy hair - check
Pore strip - check
Chocolate - check
Girl Power Tunes - check

Yup

Yes, dear readers, this is my life :) Photos from the rest of it...

Beautiful Boston (walk home from work)

I took a spontaneous trip to New Haven to see Xander! First stop - Yale's prestigious campus

I could see myself taking a nap here...

Book fortress (old manuscripts)

Close up

The first book ever printed - the Gutenberg Bible

Tasty dinner at Caseus

We got the app special - Jalepeno Poppers....these were made with ghost pepper chili powder - they were so hot, we had to sign a waiver just to eat them!

Delicious scallops and risotto

WE SURVIVED

Listening to a free concert of the Yale Philharmonia - it was absolutely beautiful (the acoustics were amazing)

He plays very well :)

Moose Track Milkshake time!

Mmmmmmmmm

CJ and I went shopping yesterday and I found THESE - can't wait to wear them out! :) (If you like them, click here)

Beautiful fall

Chatting and sipping beverages in the Commons

A most excellent week - can't wait for this coming one!
